Pete Kolifrath (Guitar) grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and has called Merrimac, Massachusetts home since 2004, where he and his wife Donna raised their two daughters, Jenni and Jessi.

Pete has been obsessed with playing guitar since 1979, when he first heard Eddie Van Halen’s legendary “Eruption.” That moment ignited a passion that still burns today.  He is a founding member of the Rock Docs who brought the band together and leads the group with his guitar playing and powerful, tone-rich performances. Since 2016, Pete has been a fixture on the North Shore music scene, known for his dynamic playing, spot-on solos, and great guitar tone. When Pete straps on his guitar with the Rock Docs, the energy is guaranteed when it’s time to rip it up.

By day, Pete is a top-notch tennis professional with over thirty years of teaching under his belt. When he’s not playing music or on the court, you’ll likely find him hiking, biking, kayaking, or enjoying time with friends and family.

Eric

Eric Bucher (Bass) has been holding down the bottom end in bands across the greater Boston area for nearly two decades. He loves performing for every sort of crowd at any venue, from small clubs and private parties to large outdoor festivals and storied venues such as the Mid East Downstairs and the Hard Rock Cafe.

Eric cut his musical teeth almost forty years ago playing bass in hard rock bands in Pittsburgh and Chicago. He is the original "Rock Doc," holding  an MD degree from Northwestern University Medical School as well as as a Specialist Certificate in bass from Berklee College of Music.

In addition to his live work, Eric is the owner of Hair Pig Studios and  an experienced songwriter and sound engineer who has written and recorded music with the original bands Thanatos, Root 150, Bacchus, and singer-songwriter Rachel Bucher. His wide influences on bass include the Who's John Entwistle, John Deacon of Queen, and legendary Motown session player James Jamerson.

Matt

Matt Beard (Drums) was fortunate as a youngster to have grown up in a household where playing a musical instrument was strongly encouraged. His father played drums, and he couldn’t take his eyes off the 1960 green sparkle Slingerland drum kit. They would share their love of drumming over the years and would catch Buddy Rich and other great drummers of the day whenever they came to town.

His inspiration grew after attending a Yes concert at the Boston Garden when he was in the 7th grade. Sitting at the drum kit became his “happy place.” In high school, he played in the band at football games, and at local area schools in the jazz band. He continued his studies with local drum teachers, and in later years with Alan Dawson.

Matt has enjoyed keeping time for several North Shore bands, performing many different styles such as rock, zydeco, and traditional Irish music in clubs and theaters for over thirty years. Playing drums in a band is his therapy, and he is grateful to able to perform with some of the North Shore’s finest musicians!

Rick

Rick Menduni (Keyboards, Vocals) has a passion for music which began when he was fifteen years old with a single, massive synth hook: the opening to "The Final Countdown" by the band Europe. That defining moment sparked a love for playing keyboard-driven rock, pushing him to master the piano with a high-energy, electrifying approach. Whether playing driving melodic lines or dramatic, anthem-worthy chords, Rick bridges the gap between classic rock energy and piano expertise, aiming to recreate the magic of music.

With fifteen years of experience under his belt, Rick is a seasoned keyboardist and singer who knows how to command any stage—from the intimate atmosphere of local bars and restaurants to the high-octane energy of massive crowds. Over the last decade and a half, Rick has mastered the art of reading a room, effortlessly pivoting between sophisticated piano melodies and the driving, anthemic sound of arena rock. Whether he’s providing the perfect backdrop for a dinner crowd or leading a crowd of thousands in a nostalgic rock singalong, his performances are characterized by professional precision and a deep, lifelong passion for the keys and singing.
